  • Little Free Library

    Thank you to Philip Myhre and his parents, Melanie Sussman-Myhre and Casey Myhre for assembling, designing, painting and installing our Little Free Library! Philip is becoming bar mitzvah this year and this is his mitzvah project! He also filled it with his books. The library is located in Peace Pod Park, An Interfaith Place of Peace at the top of our driveway and at the entrance to Hudson River Skywalk. Please feel free to visit, leave a book and or take a book. Mazel Tov to Philip and his parents! Thank you for beautifying our community with such a great mitzvah project. 

  • Interfaith Rally for Peace

    Thank you to everyone who came out for our Interfaith Rally for Peace where we prayed for Israelis and Palestinians, for the safety of all. We prayed for PEACE. I was moved to tears by everyone who spoke.

    Thank you Chief of Police Ron Frascello, Lieutenant Dan Ware, all the officers for Catskill Police Department, Greene County Sheriff Pete Kusminsky, Deputy Thomas Plank and all the deputies from the Greene County Sheriff’s Department who came out to support our gathering. Thank you to our amazing speakers; Sheriff Pete Kusminsky, Poet-In-Residence Mitch Ditkoff, Rav Peter Daniel Lundgren, Debra Lundgren, Rabbi Robert Kasman, Rev. Jo-Ann Mandekk Tipple, Peter Markou & Deacon Ron Dombroski. Thank you to Amy Drucker from The Jewish Federation of North Eastern NY for your presence and support of this event, to Alex Horton who came on behalf of Congressman Marc Molinaro, to our remarkable Cantorial Soloist Lori Sturges and bassist Robert Bard for your gift of music. 

  • The Cook and The Rabbi

    Thank you to everyone who came out to fill the temple for the book launch of “The Cook and The Rabbi”! Thank you Deena Lebow & Susan Simon for your generosity in making all the fabulous food created from Susan’s recipes in the book, Margot Leverett, Matt Schreiber & Robert Bard for the exceptional Klezmer music, Gert & Pim from CITIOT who sold books and sold out of them! They should be restocked in the store any day now and of course available from your favorite booksellers everywhere. Thank you to everyone who helped set up and clean up and welcome all of our guests. I’m grateful to the Divine and to you all for making this possible and so over the top joyous!

The Samara Manger-Weil Hebrew School Scholarship Fund

Thank you for supporting The Samara Manger-Weil Hebrew School Scholarship Fund in honor of my daughter who physically graced this world with love, light & laughter until her untimely passing May 23, 2020. Jewish Life was integrally woven throughout her secular life as she celebrated holiday traditions and our tenets of Tzdukah and T’ruah, donating her bat mitzvah gifts to help fund an Ethiopian orphanage and fiercely protecting & helping those in need.
