Are you new to the area? Have you been thinking about attending a Shabbat service or dinner? Are you looking for a Passover Community Seder? If so, why not consider visiting Temple Israel of Catskill? We would love for you to join our growing congregation of over 90 families. We have a lot to offer both religiously and socially. You can be as active as you’d like.

We are an all-inclusive, welcoming congregation. We hail from a wide variety of traditional and non-traditional Jewish and non-Jewish backgrounds from all over the Hudson Valley, the State of New York, and the United States. Most members of our congregation reside in a 50-mile radius — from Western Massachusetts to the Eastern Catskills and from Dutchess and Ulster counties to the Albany county border. Temple Israel of Catskill proudly remains the only Reform synagogue in Greene and Columbia Counties, with over 95 years of service to the community at large.

Attend an Open House at Temple Israel. We hold them twice a year, before services in the spring and fall.  We invite everyone to take a closer look at Temple Israel of Catskill. We are a warm, welcoming group of Reform Jews, and we would like to meet and greet those interested in joining us.

“Fred & I joined Temple Israel of Catskill around the time of our wedding - a second one for both of us - our beloved first spouses having died. Fred had met Rabbi Zoe when she visited his first wife at the nursing home where she resided.  We decided to have an Interfaith Service at the Temple with the retired pastor of my Catholic Church and Rabbi Zoe presiding. Not being Jewish, I thought I would be uncomfortable going to services, but the Temple community treats all like family - everyone is welcome!
